Commercial Market Update – Burke Road Cityscope

The latest research from Burke Road Cityscope shows sales have decreased significantly in the quarter to May 2017 in total value. In the latest quarter, there were 5 sales at a total value of $4.9 million, compared to the 5 sales at a total value of $12.1 million in the previous quarter.

This quarter brings the 12-month total to $43.9 million of 23 sales, a significant decrease compared to the 23 sales at a total value of $132.5 million over the previous year.

The table below shows sales recorded for the past eight updates of Burke Road Cityscope.

 

Notable sales in the May 2017 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • 768 Burke Road, Camberwell, a two-storey retail brick building with first floor balconies and three brick garages to Broadway on a site of 233 sqm, which sold for $1.75 million through Prowse Burns Commercial and
  • 766 Burke Road, Camberwell, a two-storey brick retail building with first floor balconies and a single wooden garage to the rear lane on a site of 197 sqm, which sold for $1.6 million through Prowse Burns Commercial.

Properties for sale in the May 2017 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • 684 Burke Road, Camberwell, an older two-storey retail brick building with decorations on an agricultural theme and a corrugated iron double garage at the rear, with a building area of 191 sqm on a site of 184 sqm, which is available for sale by auction through GormanKelly;
  • 250 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, a five-level building comprising 5,170 sqm of office space and 670 sqm of retail space on ground floor, plus a car park for 127 cars, which is available for sale by expressions of interest through Colliers International Melbourne East and
  • 957 Burke Road, East Hawthorn, an older two-storey brick terrace building with a shop on ground and a residence upstairs, building area of 156 sqm on a site of 102 sqm, which is available for sale by auction through Knight Frank Glen Waverley.

Leasing opportunities listed in the May 2017 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • 277 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, a four-storey concrete office building, with under-cover parking to the side of the building, and parking on paved land to the rear for 32 car spaces in total, which has office space ranging from 100 to 360 sqm available through JLL Glen Waverley;
